Decided to start showing a bit more specificity, probably add an equivalent marker for the Upside Up.
This would be the order that tells the story.
These single data point maps work better together.
Turns out Harvard is also tracking the COVID death by congressional district I was wanting.
Think I settled on a presentation style for the flat, single data point maps.
And a matching view of dual reality House representation associations.
Another view of the congressional districts looking at whether the random person is more likely to be fully vaccinated as of September 8th, 2021.
The Upside Down Data: Senate Representation / Percent Fully Vaccinated
Playing around with some more useful data representation, but Imma need to compromise some more on the artsy to make it comprehendible. Outer = Senate Representation Associated Reality and Inner = Above / Below 50% Vaccinated (Up next Imma do COVID death rates).
The Upside Down Pandemic
The raw data plot going into The Upside Down Pandemic. I'm using the cartographic representation of congressional districts as drawn by Daily Kos and metrics as of September 8th, 2021 gathered by Harvard University. In districts with a light background one is more likely to find a fully vaccinated person than a half/unvaccinated person. In districts with a dark background the opposite is true.
