So the CDC's county level COVID data is f$&king useless … luckily I stumbled upon the NYT repository and got that sh$t re-aggregated correctly. There really are a sh$t ton of counties.

So #FreeGuy is wicked awesome. I got tons of existential thematics and GTA nostalgia to spit at ya but I'm tired and drunk and headed to bed.

BTW, there is an answer. It is educational outreach on a massive scale (with a diversely-seeded think tank attached). But what good is an answer when nobody recognizes the problem it solves?

Part of me wants to go back through Bernays' Propaganda a fifth time pulling out all the broken guardrails (on account of social media supplanting print media) … the rest of me is kinda tired of having answers nobody will be interested in until the dumpster fire fully reignites.

Turns out I do random follow backs while I'm waiting for Numbers to manipulate 949,999 rows of data.

Turns out Numbers throws its hands up at 1M plus 1 rows. The CDC COVID surveillance with geography data has over 32M. Sublime Text chewed the CSV file like a champ. Took < 30 min to split into 35 files Numbers oughta be able to handle.

Started working on some art for an essay on the obstructionist agenda.

So the two days without Twitter felt better than an evening with it … where I get unfollowed by someone I enjoyed interacting with for mentioning my inability to watch Maddow (without constantly correcting the television, pissing off the spousal-type, and starting a fight)…

I had to stop watching when she fell six months behind again. I can't stomach politics as usual in place of recognition of the crisis we face.

So yesterday I randomly discovered that Apple finally made an iPad keyboard that's worth a damn, had it show up at the doorstep two hours later.

This morning I decided to take another shot at a drawing platform (I rolled my own last time I wanted one but it's dependent on using an old case). Totally thrilled that this time the search actually turned something up. Hopefully when it shows up I'll have a slap-the-iPad-where-it's-appropriate-for-the-activity kinda scenario (seeing as I've been all iPad since I stopped programming).
